He was also the cofounder of College of Philadelphia. He is considered to be the first physician who had practiced pharmacy for the first time in the Pennsylvania hospital. He became a prominent and distinguished physician. He was a staunch supporter of division of pharmacy and medicine in the United States (Porter, 97). John Morgan is considered to be the first teacher and practitioner of pharmacy. He was taught pharmacy, chemistry of pharmaceutical and material medica to students, who were studying medical.
